Woman Wounded In Party Bus Shooting Downtown

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A woman was injured in an accidental shooting early Wednesday while she was inside a party bus downtown near Millennium Park.

The 24-year-old woman was shot in the leg after another passenger discharged a gun about 2:35 a.m. while inside the bus on Michigan Avenue near Monroe Street, police said. The shooting appeared to be accidental.

She was taken in good condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.

Further details were not immediately available, and police said witnesses were not cooperating with investigators.

Detectives were questioning several people early Wednesday.
