Woman Suspect Robs Another Suburban Bank

(STMW) -- Authorities think the woman who robbed a bank last week in west suburban Elmhurst struck again Friday morning in north suburban Winnetka.

She walked into the Chase Bank branch at 791 Elm St. in Winnetka about 11 a.m. and made off with an unspecified amount of cash, according to FBI spokeswoman Diane Carbonara.

The woman, about 25, implied she had a weapon but didn't show one, Carbonara said.

About 10:30 a.m. Oct. 29, the same woman walked into a Bank of America branch at 205 N. Addison in Elmhurst, and handed a teller a note demanding cash, authorities said.

She is described as a white woman between 5-foot-4 and 5-foot-6 with a medium build. In the Winnetka robbery, she was wearing a gray cardigan, blue jeans and long dark leather jacket. In Elmhurst, she had on a red or purple knit hat, black North Face jacket, thick-rimmed glasses and khaki pants, authorities said.

Anyone with information should call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
