Woman Struck By Truck On Kennedy Off-Ramp

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A woman was struck by a truck Monday morning on a Kennedy Expressway ramp in the West Loop, authorities said.

The incident occurred just after 10:30 a.m. at the Randolph Street exit off the Kennedy, Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford said.

An Illinois State Police spokeswoman said a female pedestrian was walking down a ramp at the Washington Boulevard exit when she was struck by a truck. Her injuries were initially believed to be minor, police said.

Langford said she was believed to be a worker.
