Woman Shot, Killed In Hallway Of South Shore Neighborhood Building

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A woman is dead after being shot in the head in the hallway of a South Shore neighborhood apartment building.
The shooting occurred at 7:19 p.m. in a building in the 7100 block of South Ridgeland Avenue, police said.
The woman, 27, was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
No one was in custody late Friday. Detectives were investigating.
