Woman Shot In West Pullman

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A woman was shot early Monday in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The woman, 22, was walking on the sidewalk in the 12700 block of South Morgan Street about 12:30 p.m. when she "heard shots and felt pain," police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

The woman suffered a gunshot wound to the upper right thigh and was taken in good condition to MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island, Alfaro added.

No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
