Woman Sexually Assaulted, Robbed In West Loop

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A woman was attacked in the West Loop two weeks ago, when three men threw her to the ground, sexually assaulted her, and robbed her.

Police said the 35-year-old woman was walking near Racine and Madison around 2:45 a.m. on Nov. 3, when two men approached her from behind, and threw her to the ground.

The two men began trying to remove her clothing and sexually assaulting her while a third acted as a lookout, according to police.

The woman began fighting back, and one of the men grabbed her purse and phone, and all here attackers ran west on Madison, police said.

The victim suffered minor injuries, but declined to be taken to the hospital.

No one was in custody as of Friday morning. Area Central detectives were investigating.
