Woman Seriously Injured In Chicago Lawn Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A woman was seriously wounded in a shooting early Monday in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The woman, 32, was walking with two males at West 59th Street and South Campbell Avenue about 12:20 a.m. when two gunmen across the street opened fire, police said.

The woman was shot in the shoulder, thigh and backside and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, police said.

Both of the males, who were not injured in the attack, and the woman all have gang affiliations, police said.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
