Woman Robs Byline Bank Branch In Little Village

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A woman robbed a Byline Bank branch Friday afternoon in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The woman walked into the branch at 3636 W. 26th St. at 4:16 p.m. and announced a robbery, according to Chicago Police and the FBI.

She implied she had a weapon, but did not show one, and ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. No one was injured in the robbery.

The robber is described as a Hispanic female, between 5-foot and 5-foot-6, with black hair and a slender to medium build, the FBI said. She was last seen wearing a purple coat, dark pants and white shoes.
