Woman Robs Bank In Riverdale

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A woman wearing a purple headscarf robbed a bank Thursday afternoon in south suburban Riverdale.

The Chase Bank branch at 255 W. 144th St. in Riverdale was robbed at 3:49 p.m., according to the FBI.

The woman did not show a weapon and no one was injured during the robbery, the FBI said.

She is described as a Middle Eastern woman in her late 20s to early 30s, standing about 5-foot-5, weighing about 130 pounds with a slender build, the FBI said. The suspect was wearing a black leather jacket, black and white patterned pants, black shoes and a purple headscarf.
