Woman Mauled To Death By Her Own Dog In Fox Lake

FOX LAKE, Ill. (CBS) -- A woman was mauled to death by her own dog this past weekend in the far north suburbs.

Lisa Urso, 52, was found over the weekend on the back porch of her home in Fox Lake.

A photo shows Urso holding one of her three dogs, but it is not clear if one of them was the animal that attacked her.

Police told us it was a gruesome scene.

On Monday night, the woman's three dogs were at Lake County Animal Control.

Only one of the dogs was suspected in the attack.
