Woman Fatally Struck By Car While Walking Dog Across Street In Naperville
(CBS) -- Naperville Police say a 22-year-old woman was killed Sunday night - as she was walking across the street with her dog.
It was a little after 8 p.m. when 22-year-old Emily S. Driscoll was walking her dog on Book Road in Naperville - crossing Rickert.
It was then that a 74-year-old man - driving east on Rickert - hit Emily Driscoll, say Naperville Police.
She died later.
Police say her dog was also killed.
Now police are asking witnesses to come forward as they try to reconstruct the accident.
The DuPage County State's Attorney says there are no charges at this point against the 74-year-old man.
And the most recent traffic violation on his record is from 13 years ago.
