CHICAGO (STMW) -- One woman died after a pin-in crash that seriously injured four others Thursday night in the South Side West Pullman neighborhood.

Three adults and two children, whose ages and genders were not immediately known, were involved in the pin-in crash about 7:10 p.m. near the corner of 123rd and State streets, Fire Media Affairs spokesman Juan Hernandez said.

A vehicle involved in the crash struck multiple other vehicles and damaged residential property before stopping, said police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan. Police are investigating the incident, Sullivan said.

A 23-year-old woman who was involved in the crash was pronounced dead at 9:39 p.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. Her name and home address were not immediately available.

The two other adults were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, and the children were taken to University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital. All were in serious-to-critical condition, Hernandez said.
