Woman Charged With Punching Off-Duty Cop Outside Chuck E Cheese

OAK LAWN, Ill. (STMW) -- A Chicago woman faces multiple charges after she yelled profanity in front of children and punched an off-duty officer in the neck while he was working security at the Oak Lawn Chuck E. Cheese, police claim.

Police were called at about 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, to help an Oak Lawn officer who was working security at the family restaurant, located at 4031 W. 95th St.

While standing in the vestibule, the security guard saw Stephanie George, 25, start screaming obscenities in front of small children, police said. The guard told the woman to stop yelling and leave the restaurant.

George refused to go and, instead, began cursing at him, police said.

The guard then tried to escort the woman away from the building, police said. That's when she broke away and punched him in the neck. The guard had to force George's hands behind her back in order to cuff her.

George was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, battery and trespassing, police said. She is due April 10 in Bridgeview court.
