With Debates Over, Emanuel's Challengers Plot Their Next Moves

CHICAGO (CBS) -- With their final debate over and done with, Mayor Emanuel's opponents are charting the next steps in their efforts to unseat him, reports WBBM Political Editor Craig Dellimore.

After Tuesday night's debate, challenger Bob Fioretti was clearly not satisfied.

"I think that it is time we need another debate," he said. "I think we need answers to the questions that were raised."

For his part, Alderman Fioretti plans to all 50 wards in five days to address the questions.

Commissioner Jesus "Chuy" Garcia said he is starting to run television commercials starting Wednesday.

"This is about coalition politics," Garcia said. "This is about bringing the coalition of the 21st century together."

William "Dock" Walls shrugs off President Obama's planned visit for the mayor next week.

"The needle has not moved on Rahm Emanuel's behalf despite the fact that the president is featured in commercials asking people to vote for Rahm Emanuel," he said. "People fell for that trick last time."

Businessman Willie Wilson says he thinks that visit will just highlight Emanuel's bad policies, too.
