With Bears Season Comes Big Bar Business

(CBS) -- Timothy O'Toole's downtown is stocking up on ice, checking drink inventory and getting out their blue and orange for Sundays' big game.

"Getting all the Bears decorations up right now, getting specials on, getting brunch in order, working on our Bloody Mary bar," Assistant General Manager Tony Smit tells WBBM Newsradio's Lisa Fielding.

Listen to Bears Means Big Business To Bar

Smith expects a capacity crowd for the Bears' season home opener. He says football season is their busy time.

"We'll have a line outside in the morning no doubt. When it's football season, it's all Chicagoans that are here. It's our busy time for sure," he says.

Timothy O'Toole's has 70 televisions, and they are already taking reservations for larger parties. Smith says the colder it gets outside, the busier they get inside.

"We always see a pop in our business as it gets colder," he says.

The restaurant also offers a shuttle bus that takes fans to and from Soldier Field.
