Chicago Weather Alert: Winter Storm Warning for Lake, McHenry counties

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Several inches of snow could fall overnight in Chicago's north suburbs as a mix of rain and snow moves into the area late on Friday evening. 

A cold rain arrives from the south in the 10:00 p.m. hour, and changes to wet snow into the early morning hours, especially near the Wisconsin line. Snow showers will linger through noon on Saturday. 

A winter storm warning has been issued for Lake and McHenry counties.
