Man Shot In Wicker Park

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 25-year-old man was shot in the shoulder Thursday in Wicker Park.

About 9 p.m., he was walking southbound in the 1600 block of North Western Avenue when he heard gunshots and realized he'd been struck, according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Investigators think the shooting was gang-related.

Police initially said the shooting happened in the 1700 block of North Francisco but later corrected the location.
