Man Crashed Into Fire Truck, Ambulance In Wicker Park

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man has been charged with crashing into a fire truck and an ambulance early Saturday in the Wicker Park neighborhood.

Anthony Ramos, 35, was charged with aggravated DUI without a valid license; driving under the influence of alcohol; failure to yield to an emergency vehicle; and failure to reduce speed, according to Chicago Police.

A fire truck and an ambulance, with their emergency lights on, were responding to a separate incident about 4:20 a.m. at 1570 N. Milwaukee when Ramos' vehicle crashed into them, according to Chicago Fire Department Cmdr. Walter Schroeder and police. No one was injured in the crash.

Ramos, of the 2600 block of North Avers, was ordered held on a $50,000 bond Sunday, according to court documents. He is next scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
