White Sox's Tony Campana Suffers Torn ACL

(CBS) White Sox outfielder Tony Campana has suffered a torn ACL and is likely to miss the entire 2015 season, the team announced Tuesday morning.

Campana suffered the injury during a recent training session. Campana was expected to compete for one of Chicago's final bench spots by providing speed along with a solid defensive glove.

The White Sox signed Campana to a minor league deal last November.

Campana is a career .249 hitter with a .583 OPS. In 44 games split between the Dodgers and Diamondbacks in 2014, he hit .187 with a .424 OPS.
