White Sox Spoil Gordon's Return To Royals, 6-4

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Courtney Hawkins hit a pair of two-run homers, the second a walk-off to lift the Chicago White Sox over Kansas City Royals, 6-4, on Saturday.

Hawkins, an outfielder who was Chicago's first-round pick in 2012, homered in the seventh off Franklin Morales to tie the game at 4-4.

In the ninth, with a man on and one out, Hawkins connected off Royals lefty Brandon Finnegan, who pitched in both the College World Series and the World Series last season.

The White Sox trailed 4-0 early against the Royals, who was joined by Alex Gordon for the first time this spring. Erik Kratz and Brett Eibner homered for Kansas City.

Gordon had right wrist surgery in the offseason, and was 0 for 3 with a strikeout Saturday.
