White Sox Sign 1B Travis Ishikawa To Minor League Deal

(CBS) The White Sox have signed first baseman Travis Ishikawa to a minor league deal and will invite him to spring training, according to multiple reports.

The 32-year-old lefty-swinging Ishikawa hit .206 with one homer, eight RBIs and a .607 OPS in 44 games split between the Giants and Pirates in 2015. He's a career .255 hitter with a .712 OPS.

In 2013, Ishikawa had a stint at Triple-A Charlotte, a White Sox affiliate.
