White Sox Reliever Matt Lindstrom Reinstated From DL

(CBS) The White Sox have reinstated right-handed reliever Matt Lindstrom from the disabled list, they announced Tuesday afternoon.

In a corresponding move, Chicago sent lefty reliever Eric Surkamp to Triple-A Charlotte.

Lindstrom had been on the DL since May 20 due to a torn sheath in his left ankle. He underwent surgery on May 23.

For the season, Lindstrom is 2-1 with a 3.32 ERA in 19 appearances. He has six saves in nine chances this year.

His addition will be a welcome sight for a White Sox bullpen that has been alternately inconsistent and terrible. The White Sox's 4.45 bullpen ERA is 28th in baseball.
