White Sox Reliever Jake Petricka Headed To Triple-A For Rehab Assignment

(CBS) The White Sox have dispatched right-handed reliever Jake Petricka to Triple-A Charlotte for a rehab assignment as he works his way back from a right forearm strain.

Petricka's stint on the disabled list is retroactive to March 27. He made five spring training appearances, allowing two runs on five hits in 4 2/3 innings. He hasn't pitched since March 23.

When he's healthy, Petricka is expected to be Chicago's main right-handed setup man in front of closer David Robertson.

In his rookie season in 2014, Petricka was 1-6 with a 2.96 ERA and 14 saves.

The Chicago White Sox have sent right-handed pitcher Jake Petricka to Class AAA Charlotte on an injury rehabilitation assignment.
