White Sox Release Mike Olt, Make 3 More Moves

(CBS) The White Sox released infielder Mike Olt on Tuesday and made three more moves to trim their spring training roster to 50 players.

Olt, 27, was acquired on a waiver claim from the Cubs last September. He hit .203 with three homers, four RBIs and a .584 OPS in 86 plate appearances across 24 games for the White Sox in 2015. Olt's a career .168 hitter.

Chicago also optioned right-handers Brandon Brennan and Daniel Webb to Triple-A Charlotte and reassigned left-hander Jordan Guerrero to minor league camp.

The White Sox now have 23 pitchers, four catchers, 13 infielders and 10 outfielders left in major league camp.
