White Sox Reinstate Jake Petricka From Disabled List

(CBS) The White Sox have reinstated reliever Jake Petricka from the disabled list, they announced Wednesday.

Petricka will fill the roster spot that opened when Chicago traded reliever Anthony Swarzak to Milwaukee on Wednesday night. The 29-year-old Petricka had been on the DL since late June with a right elbow strain. He has a 9.28 ERA in 10 2/3 innings across nine appearances this season.

Petricka made five rehab appearances at Triple-A Charlotte in working back from his injury.
