White Sox Reinstate Emilio Bonifacio From DL, Send Leury Garcia Down
(CBS) The White Sox reinstated utilityman Emilio Bonifacio from the disabled list and optioned infielder Leury Garcia to Triple-A Charlotte, they announced Friday.
Bonifacio, 30, had been on the DL since July 29 with a left oblique strain. He's hitting .169 in 45 games for the White Sox this season.
Garcia, 24, is 2-for-6 in seven games with the big league club this year. He's batting .296 with one homer and 24 RBIs in 75 games at Triple-A.
