White Sox Nab RHP Jacob Turner Off Waivers From Cubs

(CBS) The White Sox have acquired right-hander Jacob Turner off waivers from the Cubs, they announced Thursday.

Turner, 24, spent almost the entire 2015 season on the disabled list with a strained flexor tendon in his right elbow. He went 101 with a 2.00 ERA in nine innings for Double-A Tennessee.

He has a 4.97 ERA across parts of four MLB seasons with the Tigers (2011-'12), Marlins (2013-'14) and Cubs (2014).

The White Sox's 40-man roster now sits at 38 players.
