White Sox Make 8 Minor Roster Moves

(CBS) The White Sox made eight minor roster moves today before their spring training game against the Giants. Here's a look at them:

--- Left-handed pitcher Charlie Leesman was optioned to Triple-AAA Charlotte.

--- Outfielders Jared Mitchell and Trayce Thompson were optioned to Class-AA Birmingham.

--- Catcher Miguel Gonzalez, right-handed pitcher Deunte Heath, right-handed pitcher Omar Proveda, left-handed pitcher Scott Snodgrass and outfielder Keenyn Walker were reassigned to minor league camp.

Chicago now has 47 players left in its major league camp.
