White Sox Decline To Tender Contracts To Tyler Flowers, Jacob Turner

Flowers, 29, hit .239 with nine homers and 39 RBIs in 112 games in 2015. The White Sox not tendering Flowers was somewhat of a surprise, though they recently signed catcher Alex Avila, who'll be expected to take a leading role behind the plate.

Turner, 24, was acquired off waivers from the Cubs in late October. He didn't pitch in the big leagues in 2015 as he dealt with a strained flexor tendon for most of the season. He has a career 4.97 ERA.
