White Sox Cut Spring Roster Down To 46 Players

(CBS) The White Sox trimmed their spring roster to 46 players Wednesday.

Chicago optioned right-hander Chris Beck, right-hander Tyler Danish, right-hander Brad Goldberg, left-hander Giovanni Soto and outfielder Willy Garcia to Triple-A Charlotte and catcher Alfredo Gonzalez to Double-A Birmingham. The White Sox also reassigned left-hander Aaron Bummer and right-hander Blake Smith to minor league camp.
