White Sox Avoid Arbitration With Beckham, De Aza

(CBS) The White Sox agreed to terms with their last two arbitration-eligible players Friday, signing both Gordon Beckham and Alejandro De Aza to one-year deals.

Beckham will make $4.175 in base salary in 2014, while De Aza will receive $4.25 millions.

Beckham, 27, hit .267 in 2013 with 22 doubles, five home runs and 24 RBI in 103 games last season. He spent part of the year on the disabled list after having suffering a hamate fracture in his left hand.

De Aza, 29, hit .264 with 27 doubles, four triples, 17 home runs, 62 RBI in 153 games last season. He also stole 20 bases and established career highs in hits, home runs, RBI, runs scored and games played.
