White Sox Activate Adam Eaton From DL

(CBS) The White Sox have activated center fielder Adam Eaton from the 15-day disabled list ahead of tonight's home game against the Indians, the team announced. Eaton had been out since being placed on the DL with a strained right oblique on Aug. 9.

To make room for Eaton, Chicago sent outfielder Jordan Danks down to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.

Eaton has been one of the team's top performers this season, batting .304 with 19 doubles, seven triples, one homer, 32 RBIs, 55 runs scored and 12 stolen bases in 94 games. The lead-off man also has a .370 on-base percentage.

Eaton went 3-for-10 in a two-game rehab stint at Charlotte.
