What Are Chances Charles Tillman Returns To Bears?

(CBS) With free agency just more than a month away, the Bears will soon have a handful of tough decisions to make. One of those gaining the most attention is what to do with stalwart cornerback Charles Tillman, a pending free agent who has expressed his desire to retire a Bear but who also understands that might not mean he plays in Chicago next season.

So what route will general manager Phil Emery and the Bears take with Tillman? There's a variety of factors that go into it, from financials (Tillman can probably get more money and/or years elsewhere) to his age (Emery wants his team to get younger, and Tillman's age 33 season is approaching). Luckily, Kevin Fishbain helped break it down at hubarkush.com. Here's part of his kicker.

"Emery could offer Tillman a team-friendly, one- or two-year contract, which would force Peanut to choose to test the open market or stay in Chicago," Fishbain wrote.

Free agency opens March 11. Until then, we can only wonder.
