West Pullman Residents Complain Of Furry Squatters

(CBS) -- Pets can be fun, but raccoons roaming around the neighborhood – not so much.

Viewers contacted CBS 2 about an invasion and sent video of some of the critters lounging on a roof.

In what is usually the welcoming neighborhood of West Pullman, there is frustration with some house guests that won't leave.

Michelle Murray says she sees the raccoons every night.

The problem has only worsened in recent years, when owners abandoned the house across the street. soon, critters crashed here too. 17:46}

"Six big ones. Four babies. They just go back and forth, they sit on our cars and everything. All during the night," Secora Johnson says.

Neighbors say they've reported the raccoons several times, to no avail.

The city says they don't have any records of anyone from that block calling 3-1-1 about raccoons. Animal control officials say they only deals with wildlife problems inside a home.
