Woman Kidnapped At Gunpoint, Raped In Front Of Her Baby

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago police were looking for the man who kidnapped a woman and raped her at gunpoint in front of her baby on Easter Sunday in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The man approached a 25-year-old woman as she was getting out of her car with her baby in the 200 block of North Kenneth Avenue around 3:45 a.m. on March 27, police said.

The gunman ordered her to get back in her car, then he got into the driver's seat and drove off with the victim and her baby still inside.

The man then sexually assaulted the woman near Congress Parkway and Kolmar Avenue, about a mile away. He then fled the scene.

Area North detectives are investigating. A community alert about the attack provided only a vague description of the suspect, and sketch was not available.
