Weather War? Jerry Taft Takes A Twitter Swipe At Brant Miller

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Has the sleeping bear awoken?

While on vacation, ABC 7's weather front man Jerry Taft took to Twitter to take a little shot at a wildly inaccurate snow forecast by rival Brant Miller over at NBC 5.

Traditionally, ABC 7 has played it conservatively on Twitter, making the online snark (joke?) highly out of character.

Miller has yet to respond directly on Twitter. His last tweet from this morning was a straight-forward forecast and recap on the snowfall.

While Taft was on vacation and Miller was airing a snow total graphic that had 17 inches possible for O'Hare, CBS 2's Megan Glaros and Steve Baskerville were hard at work.

The CBS 2 team forecast 4 to 8 inches for Chicago. Officially, O'Hare got a bit less than four inches, while totals of 4 to 6 inches were common in many suburbs and Northwest Indiana.
