Waukegan Facility Collects N95 Masks For Sterilization

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (CBS) -- A company in Waukegan is collecting N95 masks to sterilize them.

Cardinal Health said it can sanitize up to 80,000 masks a day by using hydrogen peroxide gas.

The facility at Cardinal Health was built by the Ohio company Battelle, and is one of only six such facilities in the country.

The site is located at 3651 Birchwood Dr. in Waukegan. The Federal Emergency Management Agency visited the site last Monday.
