Watch: Yankees Fan Fails Miserably In Attempt To Throw Home Run Ball Back

(CBS) The completion of Wrigley Field's bleachers can't come soon enough, because it's Opening Day in MLB and apparently other fan bases need pointers on how to throw a home run ball back onto the field.

At least, that's the case in New York.

Following a home run by the Blue Jays' Edwin Encarnacion in the third inning of Monday's game, a Yankees fan tried to throw the ball back on the field. She failed -- and did so miserably. Luckily, it appears no one got clocked by her throw, but she needs to get some advice on a proper release point. Or it could get uglier next time.

We're confident this wouldn't happen at Wrigley Field, as the bleacher bums are far more diligent in their responsibility of tossing opponents' homers back. They take that seriously.
