Watch: Uruguay Star Suarez Appears To Bite Italy Player

(CBS) Uruguay star striker Luis Suarez has a history of biting -- yes, biting -- opponents in club ball, and he appears to have pulled the classless stunt again Tuesday late in his team's 1-0 win against Italy, which sent Uruguay to the knockout stage of the World Cup.

Battling for position in the box, Suarez sunk his head down on the the left shoulder of Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini and then appeared to bite him. Chiellini pulled his shirt down to reveal what looked to be bite marks to the referee, but Suarez wasn't punished during the game.

Given that he's had two similar incidents before, Suarez already has a reputation. And FIFA will have the opportunity to review video and suspend him if it wants.

"It was ridiculous not to send Suarez off," Chiellini told Rai TV.

"It is clear, clear-cut and then there was the obvious dive afterwards because he knew very well that he did something that he shouldn't have done."
