Watch: The NIT's Still Good For An Absurd Dunk Here And There

(CBS) In a late-night NIT game that no one really cared about, Arkansas' Fred Gulley  submitted a nomination for the college basketball dunk of the year.

A 6-foot-2 guard, Gulley drove baseline, elevated and finished over Cal's Jeff Powers. Nothing short of an NIT-level call and confusion seemed to follow, as the official signaled a charge in the video while the game's play-by-play date confirms that the slam counted, a foul was called on Powers and Gulley went to the line for one free throw.

Whatever. Let's just enjoy the dunk.
