Watch: Robin Ventura Gets Tossed Following Controversial Replay Overturn

(CBS) The White Sox led 1-0 in the seventh inning of Wednesday afternoon's game against the Giants when San Francisco's Gregor Blanco was gunned down at home plate by Chicago first baseman Jose Abreu on a grounder. The ball beat Blanco home by a solid 10 or 15 feet, but upon video review, it was ruled that White Sox catcher Tyler Flowers had blocked the plate, and Blanco was ruled safe.

The (rightfully so) much-criticized MLB Rule 7.13 sent Chicago manager Robin Ventura into a tizzy, as he got tossed for arguing -- but not before he kicked a lot of dirt.

The play ended up being huge. It would've been the second out, and the next batter flew out. Instead, the Giants went on to register a huge seven-run inning that decided the game in an eventual 7-1 win.
