Watch: Nikola Mirotic's Highlight Reel In Dominating The Hornets

(CBS) Bulls rookie forward Nikola Mirotic has made quite the splash of late, averaging 21.0 points per game in March and wowing fans with a distinct, patient and effortless style in getting buckets.

On Monday night, Mirotic was at it again, leading the Bulls to a 98-86 win over the Hornets with a game-high 28 points off the bench, just one short of his career-high. He shot 10-of-19 from the field and had several plays worthy of Top 10 consideration, including a ferocious late fourth-quarter dunk over Jason Maxiell and another strong left-handed finish over Maxiell just a possession later.

Since the All-Star Break, Mirotic has scored 148 fourth-quarter points, the most in the NBA. Let that sink in for a moment. A 24-year-old rookie coming off the bench, Mirotic has been the best crunch-time scorer in the league in the season's second half -- better than even the playing-out-of-his-mind Russell Westbrook and MVP candidates James Harden and Steph Curry.

If you missed Mirotic's big Monday night, it's worth checking his highlights out in the video above. He hasn't disappointed lately.
