Watch: Bears Finish Tough First Half With Hail Mary Touchdown

(CBS) The Bears appeared to be headed into halftime against the Bucs on Sunday with a 14-point deficit and the injuries to two starters on the offensive line, including a potentially serious ankle injury for Kyle Long.

But coach John Fox wanted to take a chance before halftime, even with just 41 seconds left in the half and the Bears at their own 17-yard line. Jay Cutler completed three passes to reach midfield with five seconds remaining. Then came a Hail Mary heave.

Cutler connected with receiver Cameron Meredith on a 50-yard strike to end the first two frames. Check out the highlight here, courtesy of the NFL's official Twitter account:
