Watch: Adam Eaton Sprawls Out For A Crazy Diving Catch

(CBS) White Sox center fielder Adam Eaton -- never one to show fear in the outfield -- has made his first ridiculous catch of the season.

With two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning of Chicago's game at Kansas City, Eaton sprinted back on a lined shot to center off the bat of Mike Moustakas. At the last second, Eaton laid out for the diving catch, at one point being nearly parallel to the ground.

As he gathered himself by staying prone, he showed off the ball to the umps to confirm the catch.

It saved a run, as the Royals had a runner on third base. Kansas City led 4-1 over Chicago in the eighth inning at the time of this post.

The White Sox were looking to avoid an 0-3 start after the Royals took the first two games of the series.
