Warm And Sunny Start To Week, Rain By Midweek

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Very warm temperatures are on tap for the Chicago area this week, with a couple chances for rain in the middle of the week.

A delightful stretch of summer weather should continue for the next few days before rain becomes a factor, though.

Sunday should be the mildest day we'll see for the next several days, with a high of only around 82 degrees. Skies should be mostly sunny all day.

Temperatures will get noticeably warmer the next few days, though, with highs in the upper 80s Monday through Thursday.

Tuesday afternoon and evening should bring some rain, before a bit of a break Wednesday morning and afternoon, and then another round of rain Wednesday night. Wednesday likely will be the hottest day of the week, with a high of around 90.

Things will start cooling off a bit on Thursday, with a high around 86, and then next weekend should see highs in the low 80s, and partly cloudy skies.
