Volunteers at North Central College in Naperville have a goal of putting together 780,000 meals that will go to children in 70 different countries. One of the organizers is a group called Feed the Need and spokesman Les May says the meals are specially designed for people who are suffering from malnutrition.

"These meals are rice-based with soy, vitamins and micronutrients so it is specially formulated to help starving children recover and develop," May said.

May says it's highly organized and they try to make it so the volunteers don't get too tired.

Feed the Need is a locally based group of churches and civic organizations that raise the money to pay for the meals.
