Visitation Set For Woman Killed By Car While Walking Dog

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 22-year-old Naperville woman - killed while she was walking her dog Sunday - is being remembered by friends.

Emily Driscoll was walking her 6-year-old greyhound Quincy when they were both hit by a car at a Naperville intersection on Sunday. Both died.

Driscoll's friend, Megan Beyer, said Driscoll had rescued Quincy two years ago, and the two were inseparable.

"He was her best friend, totally. So it's kind of weird that they went together. It was kind of like it was meant to happen, that they were so close and they went together," Beyer said.

Emily had just taken Quincy to a greyhound rescue event on Saturday - the day before they were both killed, according to Beyer.

Visitation for Driscoll has been scheduled for Thursday, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home in Naperville.
