Village Of Maywood Public Works Employee Charged In Attempted $10,000 Scam

CHICAGO (CBS)-- A Village of Maywood Public Works employee was charged in connection with an attempted $10,000 scam Wednesday.

According to the Maywood Police Department, Marcos Gable was charged with felony theft. He is also facing misdemeanor charges in connection with another theft case.

Police said Gable attempted to scam a man out of nearly $10,000 by pretending to sell him a piece of construction equipment.

Gable will appear in bond court Thursday.
