View: Blackhawks Release 2015-'16 Schedule

(CBS) Fresh off their third Stanley Cup in six seasons, the Blackhawks already have a look at what lies ahead next season.

NHL schedules for the 2015-'16 season were released Thursday morning, and as was revealed a day prior, Chicago will open its title defense by hosting the New York Rangers on Oct. 7 at the United Center.

Other highlights on the schedule include the Blackhawks facing the Wild on the Sunday afternoon of Feb. 21 in Minneapolis as part of the Stadium Series. That game will be played at TCF Bank Stadium, home of the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers.

The Blackhawks will host the Lightning on Oct. 24 in a rematch of this past season's Stanley Cup Final. Chicago will play at Tampa Bay on Jan. 21.

The regular season ends April 9 for the Blackhawks.
