View: Antoine Vermette's Newborn Daughter Naps In The Stanley Cup

(CBS) Blackhawks forward Antoine Vermette capped a terrific week in the best way possible.

After helping Chicago win the Stanley Cup last Monday against Tampa Bay, Vermette and his wife, Karen, welcomed daughter Emilia into the world on Saturday, according to agent Allan Walsh.

Then on Father's Day Sunday, the Stanley Cup visited the hospital to meet Emilia after the Blackhawks were honored at the White Sox game in the afternoon. Vermette introduced Emilia by having her nap in the Cup.

Vermette's a free agent who likely won't return to Chicago because of a salary cap crunch, but he's living the dream after a midseason trade to the Blackhawks. Itworked out well for both sides, as Vermette had two winning goals in the Stanley Cup Final and a double-overtime winner in the Western Conference Final.
